Old EuroVelo Map
In 2008, the first detailed EuroVelo network map was produced, showing the 12 routes that existed at the time. This map, written in English and in German, provided information on over 66,000 km of cycle routes across the European continent. It documented the start and end of the routes, the type of signposting to look out for, as well as indicating where there were no cycle tracks in place yet. On the back it included a description of each of the routes in German and English, colour photos and internet addresses for relevant cycling portals in the respective countries. Information on cycle carriage on trains was also given.
ECF published this map together with the Galli publishing house and it was sponsored by the bicycle manufacturer ACCELL with its brands Batavus, Sparta, Koga, Winora and Hercules.
This original EuroVelo cycle route map can still be purchased at the price of €5.90 from the Galli Publishing house or via various internet bookstores. See below for details.
